- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆August 18, 2019, by Brenda KrebsDisappointing! Alpine Fireplaces will no longer sell or install gas logs during the fall or winter months. They will only install gas inserts with blowers. If you are looking to convert your wood burning fireplace to gas and only want the logs then you are out of luck and need to use a different company. This policy change is new this year. We will be shopping elsewhere.
